Obligation to Report Incapacity
Impaired practice by an unwell pharmacist
The Board may now require a pharmacist to submit to an inquiry into his or her mental or physical capacity to practise, and medical practitioners are now required to submit a report to the Board, where there is cause to believe that a pharmacist patient has an illness that has seriously impaired, or may seriously impair, his or her ability to practise pharmacy.
The Board has drawn the attention of the Medical Board to this Section of the Pharmacists Act.
